I haven't seen one of these threads yet, so I'll start it. Escape episodes are great..

SUCCESSFUL ESCAPE:

s04e01 -- The Real Midnight Express (Turkey)
s06e04 -- Highway to Hell (Iraq)
s06e05 -- Black Palace of Horrors (Mexico)
s06e15 -- Chilean Prison Break (Chile)
s06e20 -- Escape from the Gulag (Soviet Union)

FAILED ESCAPE:

s06e18 -- Nightmare in Somalia

NOT QUITE ESCAPE:

s06e03 -- Escape from Argentina -- Bail skipping via running
s06e07 -- Dangerous Liasons (Saudi Arabia) -- Flee via paperwork mixup

So... what did I miss? Also, do you guys believe the 'Escape from the Gulag' story? It seemed mostly unconfirmed.

The only one I am absolutely, positively convinced is 100% fake is the "Blind Prophet" episode of several years back. The gulag one did seem to be a stretch. The one with the "Dude Where's My Car" actor was true to the extent he did time in a crappy prison but clearly 100% BS with respect to his tough guy act while in prison. Others have felt fake to me but when I think about them more they've become more believable when I realize how moronic the people are, like the "I didn't know nuttin" woman.

I just saw "Blind Prophet"-- yeah a couple things didn't quite line up with his story and he just seemed vaguely crazy.

Like at the beginning "i slipped and fell and broke my hip... so my wife left me and i got fired from my job". i'm guessing there's a bit more to that story.
