Does anyone know what happened to the Latino neighbor in Mexican Money Machine? I know the Anglo guy got out, what happened to his neighbor? The one that went to Mexico with him.

I don't know but his fate was probably intentionally left out of the NG program. I mean there is so much worthless "filler" packed into these episodes why would they leave out something so important to the audience, if not for a good reason?
I have read speculation (on other boards) that Jose served his full five years. Others speculate that he was killed in prison. Since Jose was a minor accomplice (basically Jeremy's interpreter) in the crime spree it would appear horrendous to the audience to see Jeremy get out in two years while Jose served his entire term or was killed. Also it would make Jeremy appear more the schmuck that he really is.
These lead characters in this series are portrayed generally in a sympathetic light, good people that just made a mistake or two when in truth most of them are sociopaths at best.
He killed sixteen Czechoslovakians. Guy was an interior decorator.
I see what you mean Micirisi, I felt that the subjects are made to feel like they arent doing anything wrong, until they get caught..

@afterexile My wife and I thought the same thing until she found this statement on the locked up abroad facebook page: Locked Up Abroad Hi Samantha and Gary. We asked Jeremy what happened to Jose and here's his response: "He paid the lawyer $10,000 to have me sign docs saying he had nothing to do with it...Jose got out early, and I was in prison for another year and 3 months"
So I guess he spent approx. 9 months in jail and not the full 5 years.

It may be true though realize is another person's thought on an internet message board, thus am skeptical. Most worrisome to me regarding José's fate was the program's decision to omit him from the denouement. Regardless I hope José is back in the USA alive and healthy.
