Oyelowo was conspicuously absent from the Best Actor category, and DuVerney probably should have gotten a Best Director nod, but other than that, I don't think Selma was really snubbed. I can't think of a real standout performance from the supporting cast, all of whom are really good, but none of whom stand out so much as to deserve the nomination - let alone win.
