SELMA is inspiring and has a great score and soundtrack. Although, I don't find Common and John Legend's GLORY to be that good. I want to use the word "Powerful" to describe the performances (specially David Oyelowo's) and the directing, but not because of the gospel themes. I just can't think of a more fitting adjective. Historical inaccuracies in movies matter depending on how they affect the legacies. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR.'s speeches are different (because the makers couldn't get the rights), but they do reflect his ideas. On the other hand, LYNDON B. JOHNSON is shown as a guy who supports M.L.K. but to a certain limit, which isn't true. And what was the point? To have an evil white politician in the plot, which would raise the stakes? GOVERNOR GEORGE WALLACE already had that role. I had a dream about this movie... and it didn't include a disrespectful dramatization.

JOHNSON se muestra como un tipo que apoya a M.L.K. pero hasta cierto límite, lo que no es verdad. ¿Y cuál era el objetivo? Tener un malvado político blanco en la trama, lo que aumentaría el peligro? El GOBERNADOR GEORGE WALLACE ya tenía ese papel. Yo tuve un sueño sobre esta película... y no incluía una dramatización irrespetuosa.
