Alabama is great. Friends that live there call it the new west coast. I visited there and to my surprise it's not racist.

Yeah, but they still fry everything and have a lot of very fat people.

? The new west coast?? Have your friends actually been to the west coast? It is nothing like it. I don't know about Northern AL, but I lived in Mobile, and while I never had any issues, a couple friends did. In Mississippi, too. There were definitely still racial tensions. If you've been to Mobile, you know Mardis Grad is a huge deal. They still have segregated Mardis Gras committees.

White people are still mostly racist but keep the use of ###### behind closed doors. Places like Huntsville and the southern part of Birmingham are more liberal.

What a racist thing to say. Please, show some facts on your "white people are still mostly racist". Either context would be fine. Either Alabama's white population at large, or the white demographic in general. I will wait.

Being "liberal" does not mean "not being a bigot"... there is no shortage of hateful bigoted liberals... so many leftists are "racialists"

And there is still no shortage of bigoted conservative right-wingers either----there are bigots on both sides---don't try to act like it's only left-winger who are bigots, because you know that is not even true.
