Oscars are for the big screen, but I think it could definatly win an Emmy!!!!
shareThere are a lot of movies that win Oscars that aren't in wide release to the public. What about the foreign films, short subjects and documentaries? They aren't released to the big screen but they also qualify.

Having children dragged me, kicking and screaming, from the world of self-absorption.
It isn't eligible for an Academy Award, but I can definitely see it winning an Emmy or Golden Globe. Even if it doesn't end up winning it should be nominated at the very least.

Not eligible for Oscars. BUT it did just get nominated for TEN Emmy Awards, including for Outstanding TV Movie, and for Kevin Bacon - Lead Actor.
(It SHOULD win! Sadly, I don't think it will. "Grey Gardens", starring Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore, is the favorite in the TV Movie category. But Kevin Bacon could win and I sure hope he does!!)
