Medal?
In the funeraal scene, Phelps father lays down two medals on his coffin. The first, to the right, is the Vietnam Service Medal. Which medal is the second one, placed to the left?

The second one is a Vietnam Campaign Medal (or South Vietnam Service Medal, known to the South Vietnamese)That medal is not an US issues, rather a South Vietnam Government Issues.
Note that the year in the Medal is 1960- undated as the South Vietnam Lose in the end, the end of campaign is not denoted in the medal.

With this info I could check in Wikipedia, which had quite extensive information on this medal. But without your information I would not know what to look for.
