Thank You Lt.Col. Strobl

You don't have to face enemy fire, artillery, or bombs. You don't have to serve in some blighted wasteland rife with hatred and ignorance. You don't have to wake up facing your own death every day.

No, you just have to face the fathers, mothers, sons and daughters of those who give their greatest love for the sake of this country and its people. You deliver truths that make their souls bleed. You have to go before the seeds of all true patriotism and tell them that the light of their life has been extinguished. You have to go before the most honorable citizens of this nation, the very reason why we have soldiers, and watch as your words inflict the pain and suffering your very existence in the armed forces was meant to prevent.

After the guns fall silent, and the order to stand down is given, and the pieces picked up and the casualties are known, that is where the your service begins. You bear the horrors and cruelties of war into heart and home, and witness the truest cost of sacrifice.
