Why not just call this 'Joan and Cherie'?

It was way, way, way, way more about those two than anyone. They didn't even introduce Lita or "Robin"; they just appeared there. It's no fricking wonder Jackie wanted nothing to do with this egomaniacal creation of Joan and Cherie's; they still are totally full of themselves. And yeah, with much reason to be, since they're clearly still so very successful, in the ranks of Bowie or Hendrix even.

And I like the totally exaggerated, unnecessary lez stuff in it. Yeah, that obviously was NOT added just to bring in the guys to the theaters, since normally guys are too terrified to have anything to do with girl bands or singers or movies, unless they're "hot". And adding cusswords every 3rd word makes you such a hard rocker. So rebellious.

Strong points, except Joan is likely to be joining the RnRHoF ranks next year, and sexual content probably factored big into why so few guys or gals ever attended the double-misfire theatrical run.

I agree. There is a Runaways film out there that needs to be told from a third party perspective. While there were lovely bits and pieces, it did focus on the two and the fight for "lead" which is what happens to most bands - make or female.
This was from Joan's perspective. Nice to see, put only a part of the story.

It should have been called "Joan and Cherie: A Runaway's Tale".
