Why were roles cast so late?
I was listening to the DVD commentary, and Kristin Stewart whines about having only 2 weeks to practice guitar before filming, and that the actress playing Lita just had one week...which seems to imply they were cast very shortly before filming began. (If they were cast earlier but were working on other projects, they could still practice in their off-hours for an upcoming job.)
Were their agents holding out for more money, or were these performers actually not the original choices...yet the studio needed SOMEONE in the roles as shooting loomed, and then signed them?
