Gary Glitter
Is that really Gary Glitter singing "@Do You Want To Touch", what with all the paedo stuff or was it a musical impersonator?

shareI noticed this too. Yes, it is Gary Glitter, but the movie is based in the mid seventies, when Glitter was at the peak of his career, and years before all the paedophilia cases. You just have to accept it as a reference relative to the time period.
shareIt was the original master recording by the original artist. Glitter was a huge influence on Joan, it wouldn't have made sense to leave his music completely out of the movie. She covered 3 of his songs (including "Do You Wanna Touch Me") and had some of her biggest hits with them, especially that one. That was also the type of music they played at Rodney Bingenheimer's English Disco which is where Joan hung out at the time and became familiarized with his music.
shareits a great song a by creep.
