A Bookend To Clean And Sober?

I thought this might be a nice bookend to Keaton's 1988 Clean and Sober.

Not quite. It's okay but doesn't have the punch that movie did.

If you've seen it - what are you thoughts on the mother? I think she abandoned her family and is undeserving of compassion. Leaving the husband I can understand but not the kids.

The mother made poor choices. She shouldn't have married Goodrich in the first place, but since she did, she should have kept her commitment to him and certainly their children.

I wouldn't say that.

If you only had to watch one movie or the other, I'd go with Clean and Sober.
