Why? It's not like all the what ifs involved the African American characters. Also the concept comes from an old long running comic series called What if that was printed in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. It was retellings of classic stories and that's just what this show is doing except with stuff from the MCU.

Well to me it looks like a showcase of actors who are still under their original contracts or who.will work cheap, but then I'm not someone who freaks out at the sight of people who aren't white straight males.
