He wasn't assassinated?

I thought he was assassinated but in reality he was murdered by a coworker. Still equally as sad, but I always thought he was assassinated because he was gay. It turns out the guy who killed him was crazy and mad at him for not doing what he wanted.

Yeah, the motivation behind it and the target is what makes it an assassination and not simply a murder. The fact that Dan felt wronged about not getting his seat back and he felt Harvey was one of the reasons for this is why he did it.

Dan White killed Harvey Milk!

Yep. Gays used his death to perpetuate some bullshit discrimination to gain sympathy to take advantage of people, just like when they groom children to molest. Milk was killed for his actions, not for his sick sexual preferences. Dan White treated Harvey as an equal and a trusted colleague, and when Dan needed his help after making a emotional fueled mistake, all Mlik cared about was a power grab. One less republican who was trying to do right for his community that elected him in. Now instead, there is one less gay and one less republican. Balance.
