Why doesnt Campos SPOILER!!

At the end, why didnt Campos/Braga try to make a break for it? Dom was attending to Brian, they didnt pay attention to Braga, and with the other cops moving in, why does Braga stay put? Sure he was handcuffed, but he could still run, even if he didnt make it, he could have at least tried to get free.

How could he outrun a police car in the middle of a desert? He's injured as well.
