Why did the kill Letty off so early? Did Michelle not want to do the film? Anyone know?

I can tell you exactly what happened and it had nothing to do with Michelle not wanting to do the film. It's called LAZY WRITING and lack of originality in HOllywood.
It's fine that they killed her, don't get me wrong I liked the character but cool characters die in movies to get an emotional reaction out of the audience. MY problem was the fact her death was really nothing more than a plot device! THAT in my opinnion was LAME!

they are trying to hard with the dumb storyline. They should just stick to illegal street racing aspect of it and not other miscellaneous crap like drug lords and the FBI. It's just ridiculous. All of these movies involve drugs or mafia somehow or another as a main plot element. It's getting annoying.
They should just KISS (keep it simple stupid) and add car scenes instead of looking at the sunset scenes with weird bromance and bad dialogue.
I don't know about Michelle wanting to do the film or not but I think they had to have some way of getting Dom to come back to the states and I suppose killing Letty was one way!!

They easily could have avoided killing off Letty's character. There was no requirement for it. All they had to do was to use somebody else. Maybe a buddy of his from the first movie that was really close.

sharebecause it gave Dom a reason to go after the bad guys like he did. if they wouldnt have killed letty how would they even have this movie.
