Can a GTR really beat an SS?
I guess it's all in what you put under the hood but I want yall's take on it. Which of these cars would win in a real street race?

shareOf course it can. With that catalytic converter it would rip the road.
shareOf course a GTR can beat a SS. Yes depends on whats under the hood of course.. mods etc but to be honest a factory GTR vs a SS the GTR would likely still win. the SS is a very old car now and wouldns have had a lot of power compared to todays day and age
shareGTR can make the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs. But with good double clutching, the SS proly wins, bro . . .
shareGTR would nearly always win in a road course. The Chevelle SS may have it in a straightline after a lot of mods. This is if the same amount of money was equally spent on both cars for mods.
Its very possible to make that chevelle handle, as pro-tourers have shown, but there are sooo many more things going for the GTR.
I like both cars too and if i could pick one to keep one i'd prob take the chevelle in f&f 3.
The SS probably had high-speed muffler bearings, and limited slip valve lifters.
But you could tell the GTR had superheterodyne combustion mods.

Any stock GTR can beat any stock SS. Tuned, you never know, but stock yes by far. Muscle cars of the 70s cannot beat the most technically advanced cars of today. Not stock we can go into endless discussion.
It would be like if your dad was a firefighter and you were 20. Your buddy was a highschool football and rugby star and has been lifting weights since he was 16. No matter how much you respect and admire your dad, and his status in the community, your hotshot friend could probably kick his ass in a fight. Regardless, you still sleep feeling safer with dad at home.
Segueying into my personal point - I'd take a decent condition decent mileage SS over a brand new GTR any day.

It's not about the car. It's about who's driving it.
