was anybody else creeped out by Tom's character?

If you were on Diaz' point of view in the airplane scene and the handsome guy you like (cruise)told you that he killed everyone in the plane?

reply

You were supposed to be... at first, at least. He seemed to be the... "contrapositive" of Vincent from Collateral, if that makes sense. Even with a "warm" personality he is calmly and coldly killing people left and right as a means to the end he desires, in this case, an honorable one.

reply

If I started drinking shortly after I got on the plane, like June did, I probably would've had a hard time taking 'Roy' seriously. She didn't expect almost everyone to get killed while she was in the bathroom . She couldn't see any evidence of the killings until after Roy went into the co.ckpit.

reply

Um, yeah. He had the usual Tom Cruise crazy eyes from scene 1. Creepy......

reply

I get what you're saying. His crazy eyes don't bug me out as much as other people's.

Strange since "cocktail"..?

What are you talking about?

Tom had like 6 or 7 box office hits almost back to back. Just off the top of my head and in no particular order:

Top Gun
Born on the Fourth of July
A Few Good Men
The Firm
Far and Away
Mission Impossible and sequels
Interview with a Vampire
The Last Samurai
War of the Worlds

And in NONE of those films are audiences describing Tom (or his performance) as "strange."

I think this is more Sceintology bashing or his antics with a couch on Oprah.

Hate the guy all you want, but you can't deny he is good at his job.

reply

ok.
