time and time again Tom tells her not to trust anyone.. so of course she opens her mouth and thinks she can talk to anyone
You and I knew Roy was probably trustworthy, but June didn't see or hear everything that we did. She made it clear right after the plane crash that she didn't know if she could trust him since she didn't know him (for example she suggested that maybe he should be in prison and then said, "Who are you, Roy?"). She had to try to find out for herself who could be trusted instead of blindly trusting a guy she just met who killed everyone else on the plane.
It was June's first experience dealing with anything like this, so it was like on the job training with killers and automatic weapons. When she got back for her sister's wedding she had everything figured out, was experienced and handled almost everything like a pro after that.
