i found it quite uppity.

A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.

Uppity?

I'm just curious in what way you found it to be uppity. The first time when he says it to her, he's trying to point out that her odds of survival, now that they've targeted her, are vastly better with him protecting her. Which is true. He has the experience and the specific knowledge of what they're up against, as well as the resources, to keep her safe. She doesn't. In the end, when she says it to him, it's both in an affectionate way, I think, and to point out that she's now helped him out of a dangerous situation and is offering him the chance to escape and start over again. As well as offering to build a life with him, which he accepts for the same reason she extends the offer - because they care about each other.

That was how I saw it anyway.

Bpoz, that's a far better explanation than NutsBerryFarm deserved!

if she meant it in an affectionate way then that is uppity enough for me
