An obvious flaw.
Did it not occur to her to use the brick and screwdriver to make a few holes in the door enough so that she could kick a section of it out? Would have been easier than trying to take out a section of the floor
shareyeah there are many other ''flaws'' , but still the movie is very enjoyable.
like when the junkie pedo has his hand nailed inside the pantry and he manages to catch the little girl, the mom doesn't have to risk starting a fire, she can just move the screwdriver which would be painful as hell and he would let go the little girl; or simply start a match and burn his hand; or break a bottle or jar and stab him in the arm or even face.
Wonder how many other people were contemplating all the ways they could have escaped or actions they could have taken?

the stupidest thing however is; when you have a door that doesn't open from the inside you don't slip a brick exactly the size and height of the space between the door and the floor to stop it from closing, you put a frigging huge heavy box in front of it to make sure it won't close on you, especially if it has happened before !!!!! but still a very fun movie.
That too, or just disable the locking mechanism.
