‘Megalopolis’: After Wild Speculation, What Exactly Is So ‘Bats—’ About Francis Ford Coppola’s Opus?

Good God. Coppola want's 140 millions on promotion. For what? This movie to then make 35 millions? And lose 105 for distributor? Those celebrities have no shame when it comes to spending someone's money.

Then for this movie to only make back what would be spend - it would have to make 240 millions at the box-office. Domestic one. Because from overseas they split money in half. And won't get many.

Coppola is crazy. No wonder no one wants to take it. It's easier to everyone to just admit that lose of 100 millions he spent making it. Than lose 100 more. I wonder who will finance their Cannes trip. As you know Coppola would bring all cast. And they all need tickets to plane and fancy expensive cloth. Then hotel stay.

And no way those actors would want to pay it themselves. They are used for "someone" to pay all bills while they walk around and get applause. So Coppola would probably have to pay it himself.

It's hilarious, really. This is what should happen every time some actor or director wants to make Vanity Project. Finance it yourself to see how much money studio loses when they finance it.

At the end Coppola should beg some streaming to pay him like 30 millions for this movie. And accept losing 70 millions. Looks like there will be no fools studios financing his turd and pay him back what he spend. At leas if that would be good movie. But they all imply it's bad. Which means it's probably very boring.
