I was always semi-interested in it. I like action, martial arts, and it looks well-acted. Hell, it IS well-acted. It's well-made in that sense. Chiwetel Ejiofor has a good screen presence too.

But the storyline is ALL OVER the place to the point of confusion. I was half-ass watching, but then read the plot and am STILL confused. Then see everyone else is too.

Why would Tim Allen's character (and wife) actively screw Mike and his wife? This makes zero sense. Then Emily Mortimer's character suddenly hates Mike? The cops's suicide was also extremely random.

David Mamet should have done better in the writing department...it's his forte after all.

I kept thinking, "It has to be me. I was tired and falling asleep." I red the plot and was like, "Nope, still doesn't add up." Came here and saw there's tons of posts about the same issues. There's no rationale behind why these characters do what they do.
