Blew my mind cuz the marketing and dvd made it out to be something it wasn't. I knew I couldn't go against mamet - the man is a genius.

How'd you react to Spartan?
I like this one very much, and thought Spartan was about twice the movie this was.

Spartan was too twisty for its own good. My favorite Mamet is House of Games and The Spanish Prisoner.

'Spartan' was less twisty than 'The Spanish Prisoner' I thought. And I thought there was more point to it.

Anyway, I've only seen one Mamet I didn't care for: 'Olenana'. Great play though. It reads more cinematic than what's on screen.

'Heist' was the twistiest of all, and I liked that fine.
