Inflict the pain!!!

Watched this yesterday and I have to say I felt punished by it. This movie is one of the worst films ever, completely pointless with all the american cliches that you see in the american pie sort, sans the funny parts. This doesn't mean that american pie was worse, quite the contrary. The guy has lived with the girl all his life but hasn't had the guts to tell her he loves her. And that is the plot twist in the film.

Pee-leaaaase!!!!

I do take issue when not only there's no single character in a film that I can relate but also worse, when there's not a single likeable character. This is basically the sort of movie I call "sex comedy", but with all characters bland or hatable. I know movies often have nothing to do with reality but for christ's sake make something plausible. The only thing that is real is how messed up are american attitudes towards sex, 2008 still. I'm surprised it has a 6.0 in imdb.

As a contrast, I watched right after it the french movie "french twist" which is again a "sex comedy" but was completely and genuinely enjoyable and fun. It felt like I went from hell to heaven.

I like Armageddon. A lot.
