Justin Long and Brandon Routh should have had bigger parts in the movie

I watched Zack and Miri for the first time last night and quite enjoyed it. But after watching it I realised that the two parts of the movie that really made me laugh out loud were the reunion scene and the end commercial scene that both feature Justin Long and Brandon Routh as the bickering gay couple.

I am not a particularly huge fan of either of the actors but I thought that they (particularly Justin Long) were scene stealers in this movie. I think that if they had featured in just a few more scenes it could have helped to up the comedy a little more. It would have been easy to work them in to the script too. Zack and Miri could have asked them for help and advice with making a porno since Long's character works in the industry. Have them join the crew helping to make the movie.

They were funny characters but ended up being a little wasted by only featuring them in two scenes.
