I love this film, but it has no conclusion.

I've always wanted to get this off my chest ever since I saw this film on opening night (Halloween '08), but somehow, never got around to it. The film ends without a conclusion! "What do you mean?" you say. "Zack and Miri get together!". Yes, but what about their financial situation? I mean, that was the whole reason why they made the damn porno in the first place right? That is the entire goal of the chief characters of the film to be honest. Yes, the goal (to make money so that they can pay their rent by making porn) was a plot device to let the audience find out what the internal plot line is, that these two people are really in love with one another, and yes, by the end of the film, THAT plot point is satisfied. But the main plot point was not! What about the porn? Did it get finished? Was it a success? Did they make money? And not just seth rogen and Elizabeth banks but also the other guys as well. Do they get so successful that they all end up pursuing a careers in it? (that would have been pretty funny). When I first saw this film way back in '08 I was expecting a concluding scene of some sort with all the chief characters hanging out together at zack and miri's place, now with full functioning elecriticy and water (or heck, maybe they made so much money that they moved out and are now living it up in an even nicer place), celebrating the success of their wacky, yet profitable little porn that they made. But that scene never happens! Therefore leaving the audience (well, me anyways) unsatisfied. That was the entire plot of the film!
Look, I know Zack and Miri is just a silly little comedy, but first of all, I liked it a lot, and secondly, I don't care how silly or sh!++y a film is, it has to have a conclusion. That's like ending the 40 year old virgin with andy getting a raise and finally growing out of his childish toys. Ok, fine, but we never find out whether he loses his virginity or not, which is the main plot point of the film.

Oh well, I guess Kevin Smith felt that the most (and only I guess) important thing in the film was whether zack and miri end up together. fine, but there still should have been a more concluding scene that tied up all loose ends.

I'm guessing you didnt watch the scene during the credits?

---a dimension not of sight or sound... but of CRAP!---

You made the same mistake I made when I first saw it opening weekend: you didn't stay for the credits! That's OK. If you don't already own the DVD, go fish it out of a bargain bin somewhere and get back to us.

Hard to believe it's been 6 years already. Jesus.

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

So you didn't watch all of T40YOV? Andy and his wife went on their honeymoon.... Can you pick up what I'm putting down? Or do I need to go into detail?

Even without the ending credits scene, I think it can be implied that they would have been able to finish the movie and sell it.
