I think that shoehorn is broke, rewriting history and Dracula existing is more believable.

I get what you mean, and as a minority myself I think it's stupid. Makes me want to root for Dracula now.

The woman annoys me more. Unless she's the Captain's daughter or married to one of the crew this is absurd and laughable. 19th century merchant vessels did not permit women on board for voyages, they were seen as a distraction and problematic to the harmony of the crew. I bet she'll be a crew member and stronger and more formidable than any of the men, Hollyweird can't help themselves.
