foreign people may not understand

I saw this movie twice, and even as a non-american I enjoyed it very much. It shows how system works and tactics for both sides.
However, foreign people may not understand the "complexity" of the ballot in USA. Most people I know doesn't understand that are different ballots for different counties. As far as I could understand, the main point was not this one - it was a two sided ballot that confused several voters. Anyway, in most places around world every citizen votes in a same ballot, so there is no chance on confusion on that. Anyway, I think most of us fail to understand is that an incomplete push or "penetration" into the ballot made a difference, as well as Katherine Harris position (in science - my area- we call this conflict of interest - and this (or these) persons should not participate in any point - specially decision-making process.
Anyway, I am happy to see this movie. Although Bush won - democracy prevailed once more and this is clearly stated on this movie, no matter Gore or Bush.
This is a nice lesson to people - specially South America - and this should be teaching what is Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador - places were dictators (for themselfs democratic) that must change a constitution in order to their leaders prevail. Elections doesn't mean democracy. This movie shows the system works, for better or worse.
Can anyone guess what a person like Hugo Chavez could do in such situations? I imagine Jeb Bush moves in this film would be a childish play....
Congratulations, all Americans, either Democrats or Republicans.

the only reason the system "worked" is, the because Al Gore is not the Hugo Chavez kind of guy. Or even W or Jeb for that matter.....
Imagine he would have gone through with his appeal, imagine it would have reversed the lead in Florida or not.... It could have easily ended with tanks in the streets (ref James Baker) had there been a more hot headed democrat in charge....

If anything, this movie showed, how the system does NOT work.
How can you have different ballots in different counties? Not states, but counties??? How can you have clearly not working voting machines? How can you have the secretary of state of THE key state be in the camp for one of the candidates? How can the supreme court run out the clock of another courts decision due to lack of arguments to reverse it?
The sad thing is, America didn't learn a think from it..... Next time it is close, it's going to be the same drama all over again

Thanks, Morpheus, for your comments.
I agree 100% with you. However, as a foreigner, I was afraid I could be misunterstood.
"What-so-ever" as you americans says - you guys were able to print all these dirty stuff and even you could record this movie.
In Brazil we could do this - although not be an easy job - but we could do this, although our constitutional rights are not so well accepted in our Suprem Court (it depends on the judge-in-charge). Of course, if our president seems angry, people change their minds.... after all statistics shows 86% approval (BTW, I am part of the 16% non-compliant). But, we are in Brazil and Carnival make all of us friends and happy....
BUT
In Venezuela (this means Ecuador, Bolivia, Paraguay and these people), as far as I can guess - will not be able to film these ..... by "constitutional rights" (voted and accepted by them). PROHIBITED !!!!
In Cuba, probably they would have not this chance (to try) - "paredón" - killing all of them - least expensive and least trouble.
At this point, Morpheus, I say - anyway, things "may" works in US..... at least as constitutional rights may apply - although judged my guys "nominees by presidents"
OK, congratulations. Against all odds - maybe you can make people's desire prevail...
Congratulations and thanks for the feedback.
