The Dems wanted to keep recounting until they got a favorable result

and then to declare victory, plain and simple.

And if you can't recognize the obvious bias in this movie, you're not paying
attention.

Any positive news for the Dems, and the Soundtrack would change to hopeful, upbeat and have a positive tone.

Any positive news for the GOP, and the Soundtrack would change to dark, ominous and dooming.

Watch it again on Netflix and you'll see (hear) I'm right.

And the over the top portrayal of Katherine Harris?

Yeah, no bias there either.

Numerous other examples.

Just wait until the next hit piece, "Game Change" airs on HBO.

The Bias will be even more blatant.

To be fair, we Dems don't have the Supreme Court to put someone who lost the popular vote in office.

reply

Which is drastically different then we Republicans not having the Florida Supreme Court to order a statewide recount... how?

'I want to be what I was when I wanted to be what I am now'

reply

Huh? The supreme court decision was a 7-2 ruling. Even 2 of the liberal judges decided in Bush's favor. As opposed to the florida court which was a 5-4 decision right down party lines. Why do you even mention the popular vote? Was it decided before the election that the rules were changing to have the election decided by popular vote, rather than electoral college, or were you just hoping they would change the rules after the election because you didn't like the result? Anyways, regardless of the supreme court decision, even the continued democrat run recount (yes they kept counting even after the decision was handed down) determined that despite all of the Gore campaign's legal wrangling, they STILL lost the hand recount. You probably missed that story in the news as it was barely mentioned as a side note many months later. I'm not sure why democrats are so upset by this anyway. GWB was great for the democrats in the long run. He stamped a conservative label on bad, big-government liberal ideas. People are still under the false impression that "the free market failed us". Every socialist, er oops I meant to type "Democrat", should be rejoicing over the results of the 2000 election.

reply

Sorry if the truth has a liberal bias here. The movie was correct and the election was clearly stolen.

reply

Yes, you are exactly correct. There was no noble cause in Gore's legal battles, it was all politics. It was a street brawl. The Fla Supreme Court essentially created the entire post election controversy with their absurd decisions.

If the Election was stolen, it was before Election Day. I believe it was a Democrat who designed the Miami-Dade butterfly ballot. Katherine Harris' voter purges could have been contested, but thet weren't. The issue of malfunctioning voting machines could have been raised before the election, but it wasn't. The fact that Ralph Nadar got 72,000 votes in Florida in 2000 speaks volumes.

Game change had an overwhelmingly POSITIVE portrayal of John Mccain. Sarah Palin is portrayed as a decent woman but a poor choice for VP. Basically everyone working for John McCain is portrayed as competent and intelligent except for Palin
