Why didn't she tell the husband she was raped?

3 reasons.

1. rape is by far the least reported crime in the world. why? victims feel that no one will like them, if they knew. so she was afraid if her husband would leave her.

2. she through that she brought all this upon herself, like someone wrote this here. she acted a little rebellious to her husband and she wanted to act out a little since she came to her old town.

3. if you have lived in a small town, you will know why. if not, can't really explain... small town usually bears many more secrets than big town. let's just put it that way.

Because she would have to admit to having sex with her ex

--doesn't want him to get hurt (beaten up or killed)
--doesn't want him to feel like less of a man
--doesn't think the marriage will be able to withstand it
--wants to forget about it


Someone said she may have felt her husband would blame her but I think that is unlikely. Them ogling her when she's outside wearing something skimpy and them forcing their way into her home knowing her husband is away and raping her are two completely different things. She was overreacting when she complained of being ogled imo.

Probably because she felt shame. And her husband was kind of an @sshole.

Because of how he reacted when she told him that they were being creepy over her when she was out jogging and his response was that she should have dressed up more

And she didn't want him to possibly say the same thing about her being raped, or think that maybe she invited them for sex
