Does anymore need to be said?

Okay. Why not the Northeast, or the West Coast.

Since the original was located in England, why even the United States?

How about the muslim world? There, a woman needs 4 witnesses to prove rape. Otherwise, she is accused of adultery and stoned to death.

Why not sub-Saharan Africa? There, men who have AIDS think if they have sex with a virgin it will cure them. Subsequently, little girls, even newborns, have been raped by these animals.

There are plenty of places around the World where men are routinely more savage, vicious than men here in the States.

So, why the South?

And to make it even more controversial, why are the bad guys White? Stats show that black on White crime is much more prevalent than White on black.

They needed to pick a place, just like any other crime thriller story. I would be okay with if they made the villains black, but audiences might have a problem with a white couple fending off black home invaders and rapists.

You know why.

The South and its people are a "safe" prejudice.

You are allowed to bash its denizens with impunity and suffer no social repercussions. In fact doing so is considered a good thing.

So why NOT the South?
