So when Jordan decides he's not leaving Stratton and he's not taking their deal, that isn't really his downfall.

His downfall was the Swiss banker he used, which, whether he left Stratton or not, would've turned out the same way?

It would have been easier on him had he cooperated. He probably would have gotten less of a fine and less time at Club Fed.
