In the last scene that Jonah and Leo are in together when he has the wire they are talking about Steve Madden. Jonah says I grew up with this guy and he betrays me like that. Leo agrees and says it makes his blood boil and he wants to kill him. Oh the irony. Jonah rats leo out at the end when he is trying to help him. They made stratton Oakmont together. They were closer than Steve and Jonah ever were. I never thought of it this way until now

shareIt never really explained but I think he did. He probably cut some kind of deal. Why else he would he anticipate them coming, while he was deleting the files?
shareWell it could be reasonably explained that he was deleting files because he knew from the note that they were really after him, and it was only a matter of time before they showed up. That being said, yeah I'm pretty sure that rat bastard gave the feds the note. A good friend would have taken the note slyly after dinner crumbled it up and ate it. At least that's what I would have done.

Exactly. It never shows it or explains but how else would they have got that note? Like I said it's total irony in that scene when Jonah is complaning that he's know Steve Madden for a long time and then "he just betrays me like that"? Jonah did the same to leo
