Dumbest things in this movie

I watched this just for fun. I knew it would be silly but not so silly. These are just some of the things that I think could have been done better.

- In the first accident, there is no way that a car will hit a truck of that size with such a load and make it fly through the air. They should have made the accident against another truck.

- They could have kept the "zombie" in something more secure. An accident and the door opens by itself? But of course, if that was the case there was no movie hahaha. A Nuclear flask is much safer.

- When the humvee soldiers see the zombie escape, why don't they get in the vehicle to escape?

- In the end, there is no extreme radiation at ground zero and can you walk out?

Now I just want to see the prequels and sequels that they have planned to explain some things like robots for example.

Worst yet, a team of mercenaries watch one of their team mates die and do nothing especially in the elevator scene where Batista had to fight and kill all of them by himself and the mexican woman who was betrayed.

Can someone explain to me why the daughter climbed up the stair and set something aside? i didn't get that scene where i thought you needed a key card like the mole did?

reply

The gate was open and she was supposed to close it so nothing could come down from that way, but instead she pulled a bone or whatever it was into it to prop it open so she could get out later and find her friend.

reply

makes sense, thank you

reply

That did not make much sense tbh given she could've just taken the elevator down or up to whereever she needed to go

reply

The things I didn't like most of all were things that were hinted at, but never really shown. Like Vanderohe and his big buzz saw have a short scene in the intro, but later they bring in the buzz saw again like we're gonna get another bad ass scene with it and it never happens. Same thing with referencing how when the dried out zombies get wet they come back to life or whatever. Sounds like that would've been a cool thing to see. Usually if you show a gun in the first act, it comes into play by the end.

Also what was up with those weird cyborg zombies that weren't explained at all?

Regardless it was a fun movie. Just not as good as it could have been. There was a lot more potential there. Most of Zack Snyder's films in a nutshell.

reply

Chekhov's wet zombies.

Show don't tell also springs to mind.

reply

Right, i totally forget about that! He even go to the desert to grab his weapon and didn't use it. The only one was that bait guard. lol.

reply

I thought that the truck had stalled. If not then, yeah, that scene was another stupid one.

I add:

The daughter says she has to go along to find the mom so her kids won't be alone. WTF? Why not stay with those kids? You are leaving them alone to go on a suicide mission and also you promise their mom that you would take care of them. And what was her plan anyhow? Rescue the mom with sheer moxy?

Not only would the radiation at ground zero kill in seconds, that guy would have been cooked inside that vault from the blast heat.

Fast, smart zombies are just basically vampires. They pose. They vogue. They stride around potently when they aren't jumping up on things for no reason. And they all know parkour suddenly. Some scenes reminded me of Planet of the Apes with the way they were capering about when ZLord would shriek.

Kick ass chick who got set up fights a good fight to survive. But then when she crashes through the window, the group just turns around and watches her getting killed. They don't try to help.

Zombie Lord and his horse are shown half way to the Zbase when the helicopter had a head start .... and the Copter is catching up (thus faster).

The chopper was never going to be able to carry the whole group and those giant blocks of cash. A math problem easily foreseen.

Zombie breaks girl's neck instead of biting/grabbing.

.... and yet there were a few cool things that happened too. The movie sucked for sure but I enjoyed watching it.

reply

Ya i question why they let the mexican girl who crashed through window die. Also she sure fought pretty good for not killing any zombies nor combat training. Also the intro was rushed way too much to pay attention on what was going on.

Sometimes Vaults protect against fires, could have been a fireproof vault.

The film was enjoyable to pass time and Batista was great in it, but lousy writing and story telling for a film that was shelved since 2004.

reply

Being fire proof does not protect you from 1000 degree heat.

reply

You sure? i known safes that can out stand 1680 degrees but you have 90 mins to put out the fire.

reply

I'm not sure. But I feel pretty sure.

Just looked it up. Temperature in a nuclear explosion is 300,000 Kelvin at center and 6000 K in immediate surroundings.

reply

being under ground adds some protection.

reply

6000 K is over 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Ten thousand degrees.

reply

Hmm, the safe wasn't it near the ceiling of the building? By the fall he should have mashed himself inside the safe.

reply

Yeah the woman that broke through the window shouldn't have died. Her friend was like 10 feet away and wasn't even doing anything to try and help her when he had plenty of time to do so.

reply

Yeah she was still very much alive and unbitten. No clue why those jackasses just stood there and watched her get piled on.

reply

YA in aliens they stood by each other side,.

reply

Not only that, she had ample time to shout a warning about the treachery that got her in that situation in the first place, which ANYBODY would’ve done given the circumstances, but nope, she took that secret to the grave with her.

reply

Exactly! After breaking through the window and seeing my friend there with the guy that tried to get me killed, that's the first think I would've said.

reply

That poor chick didn't have time to warn others about the corp guy.

reply

Sure she did. They all had about 30 to 40 seconds. She could have yelled out details at length about their escort and they could have rushed up shooting the zombies she was fighting.

reply

Unless she can't multi-task enough to talk and defend herself at the same time, she absolutely had ample time. Time enough to be saved by her so called friend and time enough to just say "he's a traitor". Everybody thought there was something off about him anyway, so it wouldn't have come as any surprise to anyone.

reply

Why was it illegal to fly into the city, but not illegal to fly out? Who the hell makes a one-way no fly zone?

reply

lol this is why this film was shelved since 2004

reply

The daughter side quest is the main reason everyone gets killed.
If she stayed back Batista would have been more focused.

Why do you find and hire a safe cracker expert.... When the supposed owner of the combination safe is the one who hired you???

reply

Right, good question. Maybe for the precuel.

reply

I thought that was to waste time to give the henchman time to gather the blood sample but he decided to go for the entire head instead

reply

Back to the first incident, you don’t think that zombie would’ve been in heavy restraints inside that locked box? I mean, once they arrive at their destination they still have unload the damned thing, they can’t have it running free inside the hold...

It would’ve been wrapped in chains, multiple layers most likely.

But then we wouldn’t’ve had the movie.
