Same universe as his Dawn Of The Dead?

Do you think they'll be references to Snyder's DOTD? I'm wondering if it is set in the same universe and the zombies have evolved..
Any thoughts?

Snyder said that it's not a sequel and it's not set in the same universe. But maybe there will be some references to DOTD anyway, we'll see.

I've seen the movie. It's not set in the same universe as Snyder's Dawn of the Dead, and I didn't notice any references to that film, either.
