Why does Ramsay only visit 7 different states?

I've been binge watching the series from Season 1. I'm currently on Season 4 and I've wondered why Ramsay doesn't visit more states. He's been to New York, New Jersey, and California a ton of times, been to Michigan and Florida a couple of times, and one visit each, so far, to Pennsylvania and Indiana. I'm sure he'll do a little more explanation of the country as I get further into the series, but I know there are a ton of restaurants in the middle of the country that could use his help. There are quite a few right here in Louisiana, for that matter. Anybody know why he doesn't visit the middle of the US?

Interesting observation.

However, I know that he has visited more states. I'm trying to think of some specific examples...off the top of my head...and it's not going too well! 

. Yanni's -- Seattle, WA
. Prohibition Grille -- Everest, WA
. Amy's Baking Co -- Scottsdale, AZ
. Cafe Hon -- Baltimore, MD

Here's a better idea: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kitchen_Nightmares  It lists each restaurant and its location.

Thanks for the link. Looks like Season 4 will add a few new states to the list. Also, the last 2 episodes of Season 4 are located in New Orleans, woohoo.

El Greco-Austin, Texas.

A restaurant where the name is Spanish for 'The Greek'? I'm guessing that's going to be fusion where the tacos are served on pita bread and the gyros come on tortillas?

Ha ha. Not that I recall! 

It's not one of my favorite episodes, so I rarely re-watch it, but I do know that it ended up closing.

It was classic Greek food, despite the name. Well, pre-portioned, microwaved Greek food. It wasn't one of my favorites. The whole episode involved the owners, a son and mother, screaming at each other in both English and Greek! Like Grace said, it closed before the episode even aired. The OP is right though, Ramsay would step out of it occasionally, but he tended to stay in a comfort zone. I always wanted to see him visit someplace in Oklahoma, where I have a lot of family. It would have been neat if someone could have attended a taping.

Chef Mike! I had forgotten about that. He had an unfortunate demise, being pushed out that second-floor window and all. 
