Just watched "Burger Kitchen" for the first time

Those episodes were right up there with Amy's Baking Co. in terms of craziness. The owners were horrid, right up there with Amy and Sammi. Heck, both sets of owners even blame Yelp for their problems. It couldn't possibly be their fault! It's all those bullies on Yelp just making things up!

I don't often feel this way, but I wasn't sorry to find out they closed down after the episode was filmed. Good riddance. The only good person seemed to be the chef that was fired (good for him, he was lucky to escape, don't know how he lasted so long). I did feel bad for the son considering his own parents stole his inheritance; he seemed like he was on the brink of having a breakdown at any moment.

You're right, they're definitely up there with Amy and Samy! They ought to get together and compare notes. 

I felt very badly for the son. His father had no right whatsoever to covertly funnel his inheritance into the restaurant. And then they lost the restaurant...so it's not like he's ever going to see that money again.

I felt terrible for him too. This was the one aspect of this episode that was worse than Amy's Baking Co. Amy & Samy didn't really have any family issues/drama (that's the plus side of having cats for kids, I guess). The family owning Burger Kitchen was literally destroyed, and I don't know how anyone could get over having their parents betray them like that (especially since it closed so all that inheritance money is gone for good).

The Burger Kitchen family should've gone on the Dr. Phil show instead of Samy & Amy.

No kidding! 

You're right that the BK family was destroyed by the financial thing. I have no idea how the son can move on, forgive his father, and figure out his place in the world, all things considered. If I were him I would harbor SUCH GREAT resentment...I honestly don't know what I'd do. I'm very forgiving by nature, but everyone has a limit, you know? I wonder if he and his girlfriend are still together. Their relationship looked like the only good, nurturing thing in the whole family!

I have debated and argued with other people on who was the most delusional and insane family, Amy and Samy (one 'm') or the Burger Kitchen bunch, and I think the Burger Kitchen bunch were a lot more delusional and nuttier.

The parents were awful. The father basically "stealing" the money from their son, which was given an inheritance by their grandfather (who was a mafia guy in Australia, but that doesn't matter). The son had enough money to somewhat "retire" and live in Cali with his girlfriend in their apartment, smoking pot and chilling, and then is forced to work for his insane parents. The poor guy was just put under so much stress basically for nothing.

The David Blaine chef was a jerk, but he was exasperated with working there and you could not blame him. When he finally quit/fired, the owners did not have a $1000 dollars to pay him the severance he was owed. I mean, $1000 bucks is a $1000 bucks, but I am broke as a joke and I have a thousand dollars.

The mother was insane too, especially when during the hamburger contest between Blaine and her husband's sandwich, she chose her husbands, although one can tell it was a bloody, unappetizing piece of sh*t. Honestly, making a hamburger is Cooking 101. Get some mince, mold it to a patty and fry the damn thing! Duh. Dont need "fancy meat" from Australia, go to the Safeway down the street and get some meat!

Amy and Samy were boring next to this crew. Burger Kitchen for the win!

First, thanks for spelling "Samy" correctly! It annoys the hell out of me to see misspelled names--especially considering that their names are shown ON THE SCREEN during the show--but I see it over and over again online. Like on the "Shark Tank" board, people continually refer to someone named "Damon" and another named "Laurie"--but there is no "Damon" or "Laurie" on the show. 

Anyway, regarding the BK family: yes, they're definitely nuts, but I still think Amy and Samy top them. Perhaps it's Amy's crazy eyes...or something...but I just don't think the BK family is nuttier. Oh, sure, what they did to their son is awful, BEYOND awful, but they're not certifiably insane like Amy. 

OP at least Alan the father was willing to say he was sorry but the mom was a bitch.

When I saw her yawning at the YELP group, I wish Ramsay smacked her
