How's Your Stomach?


Can't believe how some of the places didn't get closed down due salmonella poisoning! The kitchens and fridges were disgusting. Cross contamination, old food, bugs, ugh! Watching Gordon go through the kitchen Fiesta Sunrise while people were eating that gloop made my stomach turn.

Luckily, I have a very strong stomach. 

I think the fact that so many of the restaurants are filthy, yet stayed open, speaks to how limited the local food safety inspection agencies are. They're probably understaffed and overworked, so some places slip through the cracks, going for long periods without being inspected. But even with that in mind, it's kind of incomprehensible to me that a place could go YEARS without inspection. I mean, the THICK disgusting layers of crap in some of those kitchens did NOT happen overnight!
