Why Kitchen NIghtmares was ended.

No restaurants were submitting themselves after watching the series for years. Why?....

No matter the food, Gordon would just trash it. Every place never cooked anything right and every thing was cold. BS....they would've never got to Gordon if that was true.

Owners were signing up for the show and acting out "acted" anger because they got free renovations from FOX. That was the trade off.

They knew they had to act. Like the Lido Manhattan. The owner was in her first day outfit talking into the confessional shots about stuff and being wrong. That wrong stuff happened A DAY LATER! How was she talking about it a day earlier!? Only the gullible believe this stuff. LOL!!!!

Kitchen Nightmares brought in "plants" to trash the food before the "turn around". Again, if all this was so bad how they even survived for years before?

BOTTOMLINE....

Owners stopped submitting because the free renovations was not worth the scripted BS that killed their business. Almost all of the KN restaurants are closed now. Bad publicity for scripted "reality" show drama.

1. All food crap no matter what.

2. Horrible service. Owner hates Gordon and says, "why is he here? Leave!" You entered FOX to have him you bad actor! HAHA!

3. Free Renovation(why they signed up. Duh)

4. Still horrible service.

5. Gordan says "C'MON PEOPLE!" Owner loves Gordon.

6. Everything fixed...cooks turn into world class chefs.

7. Everyone happy

Restaurant closes down! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Hey look there's FOX cameras in our restaurant today. Let's goof off and act like we don't care while we know we are on camera. Lets keep the fridge stocked with rotted food. How did this last??? HAHAHA!

He's already gone on record as to why it's "over":

I put it in parenthesis, because if you actualyl watch it, you know it's not necessarily the end.

Could you clarify what you're referring to? I have that episode on a DVR, and a quick scan through it didn't yield anything that fits what you're describing. Do you recall [roughly] where in the episode this occurred? Or what she was saying?

Exactly. It's the most formulaic rubbish I've ever seen on TV.

So the food that he trashes shouldn't be trashed because what, that would be mean? The crap he comes across is disgusting so I look at it if people don't want to apply, its because they're probably pigs and don't want to be called out on it.

You really don't understand how unlikely it is that EVERY SINGLE RESTAURANT had horrible food (yet can turn their quality around within a week).

Sure, some would have been failing specifically because of the crappy food, but with dozens of restaurants some would have decent enough food but be unpopular because of a bad location or some such.

I actually hated the renovation component of the US series. I much preferred the UK version where any renovations were generally accomplished at least in part by "sweat equity" on the part of the owners, not done overnight by invisible elves and then unveiled in the morning as a freebie. I'm an American myself and I hated the entitlement/guarantee of a brand-new restaurant. It made the show, in my opinion, less interesting.

Most of the restaurants weren't actually looking to get saved to stay open. Most of them wanted to be saved enough so they can break even then close their doors.

I agree that most of the owners were in it for the free renovation.
