were the comics this childish?

i know it's a childrens series, but this movie felt like it was aimed towards 2-6 year olds only.

The comics are great, NOTHING that you would see today because every time Tintin turns around somebody is trying to kill him, machine guns, poison needles, hatchets, chop off his head, you name it.

Advech has to be a troll. Sure people can dislike the movie, even Tintin but to say it was aimed at 2-6 year olds is absolute bollocks.

Yes, incredibly childish. Thats part of the charm.

If there be a god...than hide from him our most evil enterprise!

"aimed towards 2-6 years only"

Yeah, that's why in most countries the legal age to watch it is 7 and up (which is in keeping with Hergé's maxim that Tintin's ideal age group is "7 to 77").

Hmmm ... that's good, I'm 57 and loved the movie.

I've only read one story so far: the Broken Ear. I definitely don't think 2-6 year olds would like it at all.

Except for Snowy to be sure ... :)

Let me guess, somebody picked their pockets, or at the least they thought someone had?

Sometimes there's a distinction made between "childish" and "childlike".

I think the movie might be applauded for giving us a delightfully childlike love of Adventure; but it's actually conveyed in a very adult setting, which of course tends to appeal to children of all ages.

I loved the movie and I'm 57 by the way ... :)

if it were aimed at 2-6yr old it would have been a 2 hour toy commercial.
