This flick is purely horrendous trash. Totally excessive, gluttonous style of filmmaking that feels more like a video game than true cinema. The camerawork and editing gave me a headache, while the CGI was both creepy and off putting. Certainly this ranks as the worst Spielberg film in a long while, and earnest proof that he's totally lost it as a director. Sad.

It's personal taste of course. However, Spielberg gets back to his blockbuster roots and creates a relentlessly fast-paced adventure that looks stunning. His first connection to Tintin was back in 1984, when he read a French review of Raiders of the Lost Ark and there were all these references to Tintin (the comic book). The two movies are very similar.
Personally, I love this film and thought it was exceptionally well done. Fantastic use of motion capture, full of colour and with some stunning set pieces. Haddock's pirate flashback and the fevered scroll chase are particularly brilliant.
