Wow... this movie looks so racist! (Against black people)

Ugh... The previews for this film are just soaked with every single black stereotype (played to a preposterous cartoonish extent, I might add) I've ever seen.

I saw the TV-spot last night with my buddy (who is black, btw) and he reacted with the saddest and slowest facepalm I've ever seen. He was genuinely disturbed by how cartoonishly racist this movie looks, as was I.

It looks just as bad as every other black movie that has come out since 1999. I wish they would give us some new characters and material.

Yeah I'm Black. And when that girl is all "I wanna have yo babeh" I was kind of expecting her to do a shuck and jive. Like, is all that REALLY necessary? It looks like the entire movie plays out in the commercial, why would people pay to see it?

"why would people pay to see it?"

That's a good question, especially since it's so damn expensive to go to the movies these days. People need to be more selective with what they see, which is why I typically won't see something until I've heard good things about it.

Personally, I think a lot of black people go to see this movie just because it's a "black movie". This movie in particular even seems like it's just reinforcing a lot of negative stereotypes. But hey, if people find this stuff funny, more power to them.

Of course I can't comment much on the movie, since I haven't and won't see it, but the previews make me think it'll be painfully bad.

Yeah, this movie does seem to be filled with a lot od stereotypes. For that, I'm not going to go see it. With that being said, I can see a lot of people I know acting like that in real life.
