A pretty Much Okay movie

I was shocked at how great this movie turned out be. I never expected the serious moments of the film to be a serious as they were with so many stand-up comedians. And even comedian Gbenga Akinnagbe(Lorenzo) made a pretty good convincing "bad guy". I really hope to see more of these guys & gals in more films.

And I'm tired of this Racist *beep* that comes up every time a movie with a Black cast & setting comes out. People, like me, who actually live in these areas that some might call ghetto, need something to watch that we can relate to sometimes!

We can't always relate to super-spy, superhero, and action movies. Give us something to watch and relate to. That's one of the things I'm glad Tyler Perry does; keeps black movies coming. Don't get me wrong, I love me a superhero action movie, but sometimes I get tired of overrated action flicks. I need some relation!

And Lottery Ticket did a great job of doing that.

I agree. This movie was definitely better than I thought it would be considering the trailer makes it look pretty bad. I saw it last week at the Atlanta premiere and it was a pretty average comedy. There were a few stereotypical things in it but what movie doesn't have some kind of stereotype? It was a solid 5-5.5/10 movie.
