I disagree.
The only thing Friday within it was the lead character standing up to a bully. Other than that the movie was about the closeness of the community and the lead character being younger and learning more about others besides himself.

A lot of characters and plot points were taken right from Friday... except Friday was funny.

Comedy wise, this falls flat on it's ass, like Next Friday.

Even First Sunday was more entertaining than this.

I wouldn't call it terrible,but it's definitely no Friday.Some major plot points were totally taken from Friday,like the Bully out of jail tormenting the two protagonists.Ironically,the actor who did the worst acting in this movie was Ice Cube.
