Spike Lee call this movie bullsh!t
Spike Lee said this movie was an utter disgrace to the black race.

Spike Lee is a racist, therefore his opinion no longer matters
shareSpike Lee might be right, but he's like the Boy who Cried Wolf (is it racist that called him 'boy'?) He gripes all the time about this stuff. Still, 'Do The Right Thing' was one of the best movies.
shareI'm still flabbergasted that the man who directed "Do the Right Thing" is capable of saying the sh_t he spews on a regular basis.

Hey, Do the Right thing is one of the most important influential films ever made.
"I always tell the truth even when I lie"
This from the man who made "Bamboozled" --- F&%k that!!!
shareIt's also from the man who directed great films like Inside Man, 25th Hour, Malcom X and Do the Right Thing.
shareBamboozled is an underrated movie.
"I always tell the truth even when I lie"
He also made Girl 6 and She Hate Me. Nothing underrated about those pantloads.
shareFrom what interview did Spike Lee say this?
shareSpike Lee is on point, and ya'll are grading him on his oldest films, his work as grown with his age and i can't believe people go back as far as the earliest part of the 90's to tag him to a couple of his films? Lets walk over Malcolm X and bring up do the right thang? c'mon now!
Anyway, he's point on with what he said if he said it.
Your chronology is off. Spike Lee made "Girl 6" (1996) and "She Hate Me" (2004) long after "Malcolm X" (1992) and "Do the Right Thing" (1989), both of which are considered among his best work (and "Do the Right Thing" is considered a better film than "Malcolm X", with which I'll have to agree. Not that X is bad, just that it's not as unique and innovative as "Do the Right Thing")

link? im surprised none of u brainiacs are asking for a link. this person is most likely lying to cause a stir.
shareYou ever heard of the biggest search engine in the world GOOGLE!! Come on, you're using the internet I'm sure you've heard of it search for the topic.
Those who are knocking Spike Lee, I would rather sit up and watch a Spike Lee movie than to watch this tripe. Spike's movies show blacks as being positive figures in the world not Minstrelsy like this.
"Guns don't kill people..People kill people"
I tried google to find out about this, found nothing... Did however see he was trashing on Tyle Perry lol.
share*beep* SPIKE LEE
"Tom! That's super secret!"

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a discrace to the race (is every bad black movie detrimental to the race and culture as a whole?), but I could only make it through about the first twenty minutes before I gave up on it. I'll finish it someday, but it won't be a priority.
This movie was taylor-made for teenagers - it's not outright terrible, but the squeaky-clean music video look. kinetic music video-quick cutting, muffled audio recording, and tendency towards gloss (I've never seen such a bunch of Vibe-Magazine photo-spread ready "thugs" and "hoodrats" ever in cinema history; only in bad music videos and bad after-school specials) were a mess.
Yes, it was a disgrace. It depicted blacks as uncouth, uncontrollable idiots with no morals. I absolutely hated it.
