It wasn't that bad.

I finally watched of the first time. Predictable, but pretty entertaining overall.

Clark's Destiny = Superman, Lex Luthor & Lois Lane.

I agree. I thought it would be horrible, but it wasn't bad at all.
It's not a movie I see myself watching over and over again, but I was entertained for the moment.

reply

It really wasn't. It actually imparted some life lessons as well. Good acting, cast was believable as young project kids.

I've always thought Ice Cube was an underrated actor.

Yeah, I wouldn't watch it more than once or twice, but if you want to pass time away, it's an entertaining feature.

I liked it... it had more heart than I thought it would.

Watching the trailer, I thought the movie appeared very asinine and racially degenerative. But once I began to watch it through, I found it fairly enjoyable. Where it fell flat for me is the point at which it tried to incorporate a more serious and dramatic tone. The shift was unnatural and out of place within the main context.

I also went into this with really low expectations but was surprised and entertained by this movie altogether. However there are a few things I really didnt care for:

1. Can't Ice Cube and his crew write anything other than another "Friday" movie?

2. Why's it ALWAYS gotta be the 'hood or the ghetto? Black folks in California dont live anywhere else?

3. Ice Cube's old boxer role should've gone to Mr. T and Cube should've played Terry Crews' part.

Number 2. Yeah, they could have just lived in a working class neighborhood.
