The beach matron telling women to cover up

I recall reading about how conservative citizens felt about the more revealing 20's swimsuits for women. Can you imagine a person doing that today? There would be a worldwide revolution over violation of autonomy of a women's body. LOL! I did not even know the beaches wee patroled back then.

It makes sense, just 10 years prior, women were fully covered, then suddenly you see 1 piece bathing suits, it's very shocking and revealing. I come from a conservatively dressed country, it's like someone decides to just walk around naked in front of the opposite sex and children. You bet they would be arrested.

I can imagine men only wearing swimming trucks during that era was shocking as well, versus only a few years earlier, they wore body suits.

Sadly, young people today are more brazen wearing bathing apparel in pedestrian neighborhoods and retail establishments, I'm like flaunt it at the beach or park all you want, but once you exit those area, cover up and have respect for others, especially children and elders.

In the 20s, men still wore 1 piece bathing suits like women, like in boardwalk empire or check Rudolph valentino (though trunks were seen sometimes like in athletic sports like rowing I think.
