On TV

Any chance of tv running the series on any channel?

With it being an hbo show, it's probably only available either for sale on digital platforms or on hbo go.

HBO has licensed a number of shows to basic cable channels over the years. "The Sopranos" ran on A&E, and "Band of Brothers" was on The History Channel (which I think is also owned by A&E). I'm pretty sure there are quite a few others.

However, note:

Changes in how content is distributed, and HBO's strategy in that regard, make it less likely, I think, that that'll happen going forward.

A few years back, the HBO strategy was to create high-quality content and sell subscriptions to people who will pay up to see it first. Once the subscribers have seen it a few times, there's no more to be wrung out of that. Nobody's motivated to pay for HBO by the opportunity to see a show they've already seen twice. So you get something (in the case of Band of Brothers, a lot) by releasing it on DVD, and a little more by licensing it to basic cable.

Nowadays, streaming is where things are going. It may make sense to hold onto the property forever, just to keep selling streams. Over time, they might become cheaper, but there are still eyes out there, and you might as well sell the stream to them rather than license it to basic cable channel so than can charge someone to slap ads on it.

I doubt it'd ever air on traditional broadcast TV in the US, for content reasons. Some HBO shows probably have (can't think of one at the moment), but in this case, the cutting required to meet broadcast standards would be so invasive as to destroy the show.

Of course, foreign (particularly European) broadcast standards are different. It's not unusual for HBO shows to air initially on broadcast TV in Europe. "Band of Brothers" was on the BBC (or some BBC channel) I think. HBO currently has some sort of arrangement in Britain with Sky Atlantic, but you'll need someone from there to explain what that means in practice.
