Aly Michalka + Vanessa Hudgens surprised me in this

Their acting abilities, wow. Aly really impressed me because i've always found her to be very comedic but she showed true emotion in some scenes. I used to watch her in Phil Of The Future when I was a kid and i've only seen her in this & Easy A but she could become a great actress in the future if she continues to impress me in her movie career.

As for Vanessa, I hate musicals so I didn't even bother watching those High School Muscial BUT she was absolutely good as this gothic girl Sa5m, she showed some comedic skills in a couple scenes & they were good. Vanessa has the talent to become a great actress as well. Sure, this is her only movie outside of High School Musical and guess what, I actually find her a better actor than her boyfriend Zac Efron who's been in a lot of movies lately and I find him just not that good (his only good performance was in Me & Orsen Welles).

Can't wait to see Vanessa in Sucker Punch which is one of my most anticipated films of next year.

i agree!! i also cant wait to see sucker punch and beastly as both those movies will show off different aspects of her acting ability and show that she is more than the 'musical girl' and since the recent flop of 'charlie st cloud' vanessa's career my do better than zac's which no one would have expected!

Vanessa especially surprised me. Because of the Disney crap that she was in, I considered her just another cheesepuff. What she did in Bandslam was great. She gave her character depth and she displayed real acting skills. The concert though-Vanessa should consider fronting a band between acting projects. She's got stage presence and very real musical chops.
